Osprey V-22 mecha inks by Mecha-Zone Osprey V-22 mecha inks by Mecha-Zone
Here's the inked version of a new mech that was commissioned by the same person that commissioned the Batmobile mech. This mech is designed to transform.

The head was drawn like it is because this mech is also themed. Instead of Batman, it is Cobra from G.I. Joe! There will be a Baroness figure with the mech! I have already drawn the Baroness and she looks hot

Original creation size is 11" x 17"

The colored version will be in my new art book. The book will be out in October... pre-orders will open in a few weeks.

this is a real Osprey... [link]

That's really cool, actually. I wouldn't say you failed at all... looks like you simply stopped working on it. The way you have the propellers coming off the back looks great :)

It's a futuristic, techno/magic based RPG that runs on the d6 system. Never really played it but I've read through the rule book a few times. It's kind of old and not all that popular (compared to, say, D&D) but yeah...your designs are definitely in that kind of style. I think it's just the way you draw but it looks really good regardless so no worries.

I totally understand about the head. The head was drawn that way because of an important fact that I omitted from the initial posting. Like the Batman piece, this mech is also themed, but instead of Batman, it is Cobra from G.I. Joe. There will be a baroness figure with the mech! I have already drawn the Baroness and she looks hot

Whoa! Now THAT is cool!  I love your transformed-part-placement choices. Unlike Bay's dreaded "swirling tornadoes of junk" I can actually pick out various elements and recognize them as bits of Osprey anatomy. An aesthetic which should never be divorced from transforming mechs. The dark sils in back are also a great extra touch. Simple design investment w/ effective return.

So, I guess you won't be posting color here? Added incentive for book purchase?

yeah, people usually need some incentive. I'm going to try really hard to take time to color some of the other mechs in the book, such as ...

and

Awsome design.^_^ My only complaint is that the wheels are too unprotected. Too easy to damage. But, other than that, love the design.^_^

Yeah, it was an aesthetic choice. I went for "looks cool" over realism.

lol Well, easy way to alter it to provide the defense. Just having armor flaps overtop the wheel, likely segmented so that they can slide against each other to 'shrink', sort to speak, changing their cover area on the wheel to compensate for the angle in which the wheel is held at.
