Who doesn't like a tech cutaway to see the inner workings of a mech? No one, that's who!

This thing is..... Deadly to say the least, I wonder what your inspiration is for this 'mech? I'd love to pilot a 'mech looking like this

Pretty sick, David.  I could not even hazard a guess as to what goes into one of these things - myomer, some bearings, etc - but you just get in there and draw.  Admirable.  I am glad I purchased some of your original stuff, mister.  Just got to get some frames around it.   Thanks for putting this up.  Looking forward to your future pieces (here and in CGL publications)!

Thanks man. Mostly, it involves making up a buncha stuff that looks like it would work. Exactly the way real-life engineers make stuff ;)

Ooh. That looks amazing. I always like buying gizmos and gadgets that have see through plastic so that I can see the inner workings of it as I use it. This picture sits much into the same boat and looks wonderful. Goes to show you just how much work is put into constructing one of those mechs.

Wow, just great man! Now, this not to find fault or challenge in any way, but more like a technical question...
What / how much planning do you put to make sense in your internal design of the mechs?
Mechanical engineering background?

hahahahahahahahahah noooo... i just make that stuff up. If it looks good, then it's good enough for me. Certainly no planning for this pic. It's just a sketch so I made stuff up as I went along.

It took me four years to decide how I wanted my bionic character's inner workings to look! It's some of the best stuff!

Thanks! It's never easy, though. I'm not educated in that area. I try to design something that at least looks like it'd work.
