Battletech: Sphinx by Mecha-Zone Battletech: Sphinx by Mecha-Zone
Man, this is one big and ugly mech!

This mech was originally from MechWarrior Dark Ages, but has been integrated into the Battletech universe. This art was made for Battletech TRO 3085.

If it was shrunk down to something more human sized I would have thought it was a droid from Star Wars.

This was aways one of my favorite Dark Age designs. You have made several DA / AoD designs look even better.

I don't know why but to me the Sphinx kinda looks like a tricked out Cyclops.

I loved this mech myself. It's a blocky beast, but it has the same aesthetc of a big can of pain dropped into an enemy's formation. :D

Ten ER-Medium lasers let you light things up like they were match sticks, and the MASC and targeting computer besides make it a joy to field!
But I notice you chose a variant... Counting the smaller lasers, I'd have to ask, is this the NC101-54B or SF16-06A?

I don't know. You'll have to consult the book to find out. I just go by the stats that I am given at the time.

Lawl, no need to check. That question was born purely out of a combination of excessive study of mechs and the superhuman ability to waste more than 24 hours in a day. (Especially if there is something imortant for me to do! XD)

they really ought to have given you more room to play and make them badass. Again, as always, you maximized what ya had to work with :)

I so totally agree with you. It was so frustrating to be confined to the existing designs. Some of them just needed a little push to be 100% cooler.
