Battletech: Pack Hunter by Mecha-Zone Battletech: Pack Hunter by Mecha-Zone
This mech was originally from MechWarrior Dark Ages, but has been integrated into the Battletech universe. This art was made for Battletech TRO 3085.

I've never really liked mechs with real hands, and I've liked those with claws even less, but the rest of this design makes up for what I see as impractical arms.

I don't know, though; it seems like they really traded in practical concerns for aesthetics when they made the designs for MWDA.

It's TRO 3060 art sucked like hell. You made it look cool ... again. :D

The pack hunter: A solid concept that (in my mind) has never been packaged in a good look.
The repose really does make it look better than the DA mini though.

I'll have to take your word for it since you don't seem to have any art in your gallery :(

Wha? I could have sworn that this was in a Pre-Dark Age Battletech novel. Path of Glory, wasn't it?

my drawing is based on a DA mini. I know nothing of it's origins otherwise..

there is a pre-MWDA version which looked much better than its MWDA counterpart. This is a great art version of the MWDA redo of it tho :)

I found the original design kinda wierd.

This one looks a lot more like a war machine. I still thin kthe armas are kinda strange.
But, in every way, a great re-imagining of the mech :)

The funny thing is... I didn't change it at all. All I did was pose and light it in an interesting way :D

The claw-like hands give it a very aggressive look and the gun and jumpjets and cockpit have some slight touch of Steampunk.;) Very cool.

Yea, I agree with ya. It actually does, and the best part of him is his claws.
